Safety measures that Blake’s is taking for Covid-19 include the following; employees will go through a health screening before every shift, all employees will wear masks, customers will not be required to wear a mask while picking, or on wagon rides, limited number of people allowed on each wagon, there will be hand sanitizing and hand washing stations that have been placed outside, customers will receive new bags to pick produce, and staff will monitor fields to ensure social distancing. They are also requiring everyone to wear a mask indoors unless you are eating or drinking. Large events have been canceled to ensure safety. Blake’s Cider Mill is making sure to follow all of the Center for Disease Control’s recommendations and requirements. They have not cut back on any hours because being open for longer hours of time allows people to spread out.
