New School Lunches
By Rachel Maltese
This school year, Bishop Foley is handling lunch a little bit differently than last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Instead of two lunches, A and B, there are now three lunches labeled A, B, and C. Each lunch period is given twenty minutes to eat. ‘A’ lunch starts at 10:50 AM, right after 3rd hour, ‘B’ lunch starts at 11:20 AM, in between 4th hour, which is new this year, and ‘C’ lunch starts at 11:40 AM, after 4th hour.
This is to help ensure proper social distancing during lunches since masks will be off while eating. Three lunches help minimize the number of people in the cafeteria at a time. The chairs are now spaced out more, and are marked with blue tape. They must stay inside the blue tape. When getting out of your seat, make sure to have your mask on. Also, while in line to get the school lunch, you have to stay six feet apart and stand on the red dots.
Make sure to always have your mask on when not eating in the cafeteria, and please keep your distance from other students. Stay safe, and happy eating Ventures!
