Presidential Debate 2020
It is Monday, Sept 28. The next election is in 35 days and coming quickly. With the huge support both sides are getting, we could be in for an interesting and competitive election year.
2020 has been a drama filled year with everything that has been going on with the issues of coronavirus, wildfires, and the looting and burning of cities. With these factors in play, it has kinda taken everyone's minds off the election that we will have.
According to a Times/Siena poll, Joe Biden has a 49% lead to president to Trump's 41%. For this to happen, Biden would have to win one of President Trump's last states he won in his election race with Hillary Clinton. To make a difference, they would have to be a largely populated state that he won last election such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, Florida, Etc.
Most national polls have Biden over Trump. Last election, Hillary Clinton had more national polls and had 3 million more votes than Trump. But Trump won electoral college, and having more votes won't always mean you win the election. Most Republicans believe that this will happen again like it did last election.
On Tuesday, September 29, Trump and Biden will have their first presidential debate. Both have agreed to try and keep the debate as peaceful as they possibly can. With so much to talk about, I think that we can all agree that it is going to be an interesting debate!
