Thanksgiving Time!

 Thanksgiving Time!!

This year, thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26. Families are going to be gathered around their dining table, ready to feast. It is going to be hard, since the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of our activities, sports, and holidays. Even though this will affect the way we celebrate thanksgiving and will have more precautions,  it is still important to spend time with your family.

Before inviting all of your guests, let them know that if they are feeling a bit sick or anything of the sort, they should stay home. This is very important because anything could happen. Even if there is a slim chance of anything major, do not risk it, it is always better to stay safe.

At this time, it is better to wear a mask and keep at least six feet apart from people that are not from your household. Since that would be hard, it is suggested that going outside is a great idea, since there is more space and it is not clustered. Keeping things small is also a respectable decision, you don’t want it to be a party, just a small family gathering. “We’re not totally sure if we are going to get together during thanksgiving, and we’re leaning towards no due to COVID-19,” says the family of Rachel Maltese.

Adjusting to your area is very important. For instance, if you live in a state where COVID-19 cases are high, you might want to switch to doing your family gathering online. By facetiming your family members, you and your family are obviously at lower risk of getting sick. If your state has low amounts of COVID-19 cases, you should visit them; still being cautious.
