Pop Singer's New Album?

On Saturday, Ariana Grande teased her upcoming album by posting a video on her Instagram grid and Twitter. In the video, she ran her hand across a green lit-up green keyboard to spell out what is presumably a single and album title, "P-O-S-I-T-I-O-N-S." This single, possibly called “Positions”, will allegedly release on October 30th. Ariana’s fans are super excited for this album and are using a countdown on Instagram until it releases.

The coronavirus lockdown — much of which she spent at home in Los Angeles with her boyfriend, real estate agent Dalton Gomez, gave Grande plenty of time to write and record in the studio. She has been working on her album secretly for a couple of months, and none of her fans seemed to notice. Since the lockdown, the song “Stuck With You”, featuring Justin Beiber, has been released and fans did not expect another song or even album out so soon. “It’s a great time to create because you’re stuck with your thoughts and left in your head a little bit, so I think all creatives are extra inspired right now,” she told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in May. “I didn’t have a home set-up until quite recently, and that’s been so much fun but also so bad for my sleep schedule and my eating schedule.”

Since this album is a huge announcement and a big deal amongst Arianators, collaborations are expected. Ariana has been hinting that Doja Cat might be in her song. She recently gained fame by creating the popular and trending song “Say So”. First trending on the social media app Tik Tok, then next thing it was playing on the radio in cars.

Not surprisingly before Halloween — since it is her favorite holiday, her album will drop and it will most likely be a bop, since many of her other songs and albums are, like “Thank U, Next” and “7 rings” have been hugely popular with millions of streams on Spotify and other music platforms. Since in some states there is no trick or treating, Halloween surely is not looking so bad now, since Ariana Grande’s album will be dropping soon this month of October.
